IWC Schaffhausen introduced the latest member of its Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph model family, which has been attracting great interest since it joined the product group with its sporty and sea-inspired design.
The new model is offered in a stainless steel case measuring 43.5mm in diameter. The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and is water resistant to 60 meters / 6 bars. The model also employs the signature details of the model family like the piston style chronograph pushers and large screw-in winding crown.
The most distinctive feature of the model is undoubtedly its dial. Contrast white-colored chronograph sub-dials are used on the dial finished in a blue tone that tributes to the open seas. SuperLumiNOVA phosphorus material applied hands and rhodium-plated Arabic numeral indexes accompany the dial which also hosts a date display window at 3 o’clock.
The new model is powered by the manufacture IWC Caliber 89361. Flyback Chronograph movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 68 hours when fully wound.
Another important feature of the model is its strap. The rubber strap that we are familiar from the previous versions of the model family is finished in matching blue tone. The strap is secured by an IWC signed folding clasp made of matt stainless steel.
