The Master Ultra Thin model family has been present in the product group of the famous brand since 2015. The successful model family, which hosts many models from power reserve indicator models to moon phase display versions, is the guest of our pages today with one of the most elegant examples of the collection.
Master Ultra Thin Date represents the entry level group of the model family. However, the correct answer to this definition is the stainless steel version (Ref. 1238420). The model we chose for our review is the 18K pink gold themed version.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Date (Ref. 1232510) comes with a contemporary sized 39mm diameter case, which deserves to be called Ultra Thin with a total height of 7.8mm. The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and is water resistant to 50 meter / 5 bars which is adequate for a classic dress watch.
Although the model’s dial features similarities with the past Ultra Thin models, some nuances in the details are still visible to the trained eyes. The hour markers, which are prepared in accordance with the classic design, are a little longer. Date window is located at 6 o’clock, which I believe was a clever choice for the dial’s visual integrity. The harmony of the dial finished in eggshell beige as per JLC’s definition with the pink gold accents is simply amazing.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Date (Ref. 1232510) is powered by the manufacture Caliber Ref 899/1. Consisting of 219 parts (32 jewels), self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.8000vph). The movement is equipped with a JLC logo perforated solid pink gold oscillating rotor and is enjoyed through the sapphire crystal case back.
The model comes on a hand-stitched brown alligator strap, which gets full scores from us in terms of both quality and comfort. The strap is secured with a JLC signed 18K pink gold pin buckle.
