Omega, which has recently attracted attention with its historic 19-ligne pocket watch movement, crowned the 125th anniversary of its brand name with a special model.
The model, which is based on the elegant De Ville Trésor Collection that was first added to the Omega catalogs in 2014, is inspired by a specific model produced by the brand in 1949. The new model has a glamorous red enamel dial and a beautiful 18K yellow gold case.
The new model’s case measures 40mm in diameter, combining nostalgic design details with the modern era. The front side of the case made of 18K yellow gold features a scratch-resistant and box-type sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflection coating. The solid gold case is decorated with red enamel anniversary medallion. The elegant case is water resistant to 30 meters.
The model’s dial is also made of enamel, which we have recently seen on various vintage-inspired models. 18K gold hands and hour markers are used on the dial which is finished in an eye-catching red tone that we are familiar with from Omega presentation boxes.
Omega De Ville Trésor 125th Anniversary is powered by the manual-wind Omega in-house Caliber 8929 with 29 jewels. Beating at a frequency of 28,800vph the movement offers a power reserve of 3 days. It features a Co-Axial escapement and is a Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS. It is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 Gauss. It features a free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series. Special luxury finish with 18K Sedna Gold balance bridge with Geneva waves in Arabesque.
Offered on a 20mm lug size burgundy leather strap that is secured by an 18K yellow gold, the list price for the model is CHF 16,500.
