Inspired by the Memovox Polaris model introduced by the brand in 1968, the Polaris product line added to JLC's catalogs in 2018 is expanding with a new model included under the Boutique Edition series.

Designed on the current Polaris Date platform, the model comes in a stainless steel case with a diameter of 42mm and a height of 13.92mm. High-edged sapphire crystal is used on the front of the case, which draws attention with its largish dimensions today, where oversized cases are gradually replaced by more compact models. The case, which also houses the extra crown used to turn the bezel under the crystal, which is one of the signature details of the model family, also has a sapphire crystal display case back. The stylish case, which symbolizes the innovative and bold approach of the famous brand in the diver watches segment as well as its retro look, is waterproof up to 200 meters.

The dial, which is the main distinguishing feature of the new model, hosts different background patterns finished in green. The dial, which is designed in sector-style, features gradient color transitions as well as different background forms such as opal, grainy, and sunbeam. Following the vintage theme of the model, the aged-radium look Super-LumiNOVA filled hands offer excellent legibility in almost any environment. While the red accents emphasize the sporty DNA of the model, they also add movement to the dial. The date function, which is the only additional feature of the model apart from displaying the time, can be read through the window placed at 3 o'clock.

Caliber 899AB gives life to the stylish model. Fully in-house designed and produced per the brand's "Watchmaker of Watchmakers" title, the automatic movement operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve time of up to 70 hours when fully wound.

The sporty model is complemented by a green rubber strap produced following the dial color. The strap, which is fixed to the wrist with a pin-type buckle, is compatible with the brand's quick strap changing system.
