Maurice Lacroix introduced the new Pontos Day Date model, which stands out with its black DLC coated case and khaki green dial.
The long-established brand has focused on developing and strengthening the Aikon Collection, the game changer of the luxury sports watch segment with integrated bracelets, which has been a rising trend in recent years. Pontos, one of the iconic product groups of the brand, continues to expand, albeit slightly overshadowed by Aikon, which is considered one of the most successful model families in its class. The timeless collection, which melts the classic lines in the same pot with the design concept of modern times, once again comes before watch enthusiasts with a new limited edition model.
The new model comes with a 41mm diameter and 11mm high case. The case with a matte black DLC coating on stainless steel offers a sporty and powerful image with its curved lug form and protrusions surrounding the classic spiral-patterned crown. The elegant case with sapphire crystals on the front and back is waterproof up to 100 meters.
The matte black case is complemented by a khaki green dial with a sunray pattern. The dial, which also hosts matte black components suitable for the case, also takes on a sporty look with the red detail on the tip of the seconds hand. The simple dial, on which day and date features can be read, provides sufficient visibility in dark environments with its Super-LumiNOVA-filled accents.
The new model is given life by the Sellita-based Caliber ML143. The automatic movement, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph), offers a power reserve of up to 38 hours when fully wound. Rhodium-plated and Côtes de Genève decorated movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
The model, which is limited to only 1000 pieces, is accompanied by a dark green nylon strap and a butterfly clip made of black DLC-coated steel. The list price for the model is CHF 2,080.
