Jaquet Droz is a quite an important name for the current status of the Swiss watchmaking industry. The brand, which was based on a small farm in 1721, continued to work mainly on desk clocks, but then concentrated on pocket watches and finally wrist watches.

The Grande Seconde collection, which set the stage for the brand to make one of the most important booms in its history, first met with watch enthusiasts in 2002. Created with inspiration from 18th century pocket watches, the collection took its place among the cult designs of the clock world with the "8" style dial.

Of course, it is impossible not to mention the legendary Nicolas G. Hayek when it comes to Jaquet Droz. Hayek, who was one of the founders of Swatch Group, added the brand to the Swatch Group in 2009 and became a big shareholder in its present position.

Here we are with this successful collection again in black and white ceramic.

The case, which houses the new models, measures 44mm x 12.33mm. The ceramic case sports AR coated scratch proof sapphire crystals on both sides and it is water resistant to 30 meters. Each version is limited to 28 units and the limited production number is engraved at the caseback of every timepiece.
