Laurent Ferrier, one of the Swiss boutique luxury watchmaker, is the guest of our pages with two elegant timepieces that we had the opportunity to seen at the SIHH 2019.
Galet Micro-Rotor 40mm Natural Escapement
With its classic lines, the model comes in an elegant case designed with a diameter of 40mm and height of 10.70mm. Made of 18K white gold, the case is equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and is water resistant to 30 meters. The all mirror polished case is accompanied with a Ball-shaped winding crown that is both an ergonomically and aesthetically successful match for the model and is comfortable to wear thanks to its well-balanced lugs.
The collection features two dial colors, black and white. The dial, which is designed with a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock as per the model family’s retro-inspired character, is accompanied with white gold applique hour markers and hands. Featuring no extra functions like a date a display, the dial offers a simple yet elegant look with the help of limited text use.
The model is powered by the manufacture Caliber FBN 229.01. 35 jewels / 185 pieces self-winding movement is equipped with a micro-rotor, a stylish detail for classic dress watches and fully enjoyable through the sapphire crystal display case back. The movement beats at a frequency of 21.600vph (3Hz) and offers a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound.

Bridge One Stainless Steel Case – White Enamel Dial
Another memorable model of the brand we have been welcomed at their booth at the SIHH 2019 fair was the Bridge One Stainless Steel Case - White Enamel Dial which attracted attention with its interesting case design. The stainless steel case, which reminds me of Art Deco style, measures 30mm x 44mm. Looks a tad small with its dimensions especially in today’s standards on black and white; the case actually wears larger than it really is thanks to its wide lug design. The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides as well as the classic Ball-shaped winding crown. Water resistance rating is 30 meters.
As the name implies, the model comes with a white dial made of Grand Feu enamel. The hour markers are in stylized Roman numeral form and are accompanied with thin leave shaped hands in white gold. The dial with no extra functions, like a seconds hand, brings one of the most successful partnerships to simplicity and elegance.
The model is powered by the brand’s in-house movement Caliber LF107.01 is working. 21 jewels / 137 parts hand-wound movement beats at a frequency of 21.600vph (3Hz) and offers a power reserve of 80 hours when fully wound.
