Porsche 919 Spyder Evo Hybrid, Which Was Racing Under The Sponsorship of Chopard, Broke The New Nurburgring Nordschleife Record!

The record for the Nurburgring race track, considered one of the world’s most challenging tracks and for which many sports car brands are striving to make the best lap times, was broken by the Porsche 919 Spyder Evo Hybrid competing under the Chopard sponsorship.

Porsche’s racing pilot, Timo Bernhard, completed the 20,82-kilometer track in 5 minutes 19 seconds and a 55-second record time, improving the old best time 51.58 seconds.

The Porsche 919 Spyder Evo Hybrid has a 2000cc engine with a V4 cylinder configuration, 720hp from the internal combustion engine and 440hp from the electric motor, the vehicle offers a total of 1160hp and weights only 840kg.

During the record trial, Timo Bernhard was wearing Chopard Superfast Power Control Porsche 919 HF Edition, which the brand dedicated exclusively to the race car. The model is limited to a span of 100 units only and is equipped with a 45mm DLC coated titanium case. Presented to the watch enthusiasts through Chopard boutiques around the globe, the model is powered by the self-winding Caliber L.U.C. 01.11-M. The model offers date and power reserve complications, beats at a high frequency of 8Hz (57.600vph) and provides a power reserve of 60 hours when fully wound. The model is COSC certified, water resistant to 100 meters and is equipped with tire pattern rubber strap exclusively made for Chopard.
