The well-established brand, being among the most important representatives of the Heritage trend, which has spread over the last twenty years and continues on its way without losing a single bit of its popularity, continues to renew its models that shape the history of watches with modern touches.
Legend Diver series, one of the never-aging product groups with its timeless design, is offered to watch enthusiasts again in this context. The collection, which is among the most well-known diver watches not only of the famous brand but also of the entire watch world, with its Super Compressor style case/bezel structure, takes its place in Longines catalogs once again with its renewed face with fine touches.
The new model comes with a mini collection including four different references. Let's take a closer look at the models that attract attention with their details designed to remain faithful to the original model introduced by the brand in 1959.
The stylish models share a stainless-steel case measuring 39mm in diameter and 12.70mm in height. The sporty case impresses not only with its faithful architecture to the original model but also with its dimensions suitable for today, where compact-sized models are rapidly regaining the reputation they deserve. The case, which gives the green light for professional use with its 300-meter water resistance value per the ISO 6425 standard, also includes signature details such as the compressor-style inner bezel and the second winding crown that rotates this bezel. The case has a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating applied on both sides on the front side and a screw-down case back with a very stylish diver figure on the rear side.
The new models feature the typical Legend Diver style dials that we are familiar with from past versions. There is a diver-style bezel on the outside of the dial. On the dial, where the 12, 3, 6, and 9 markers are in large Arabic numerals and the rest in baton style, a set of thick enough to-be-legible hands displays the time. The Super-LumiNOVA phosphor application used on the dial, available with black and blue background color options, offers easy and fast legibility in almost any environment. The simple but functionally designed dial, which does not have a date window, emphasizes the professional instrument character of the model.
Caliber Longines L.888.6 movement powers the models in the new collection. The 21-jewel automatic movement, whose precision and accuracy performance is certified by C.O.S.C and with a balance spring that is not affected by magnetic environments per the ISO 764 standard, oscillates at a frequency of 25,200vph and performs in line with today's standards with its 72-hour power reserve when fully wound.
The new models are offered with a Beads of Rice style stainless steel bracelet equipped with a folding clasp, as well as a dark blue NATO-style textile strap and a brown calfskin strap with standard pin buckles.
