Longines became the official title partner and time keeper of the International Racing Festival Istanbul. The famous Swiss watchmaker started this new partnership with an exciting race and a beautiful event right after at Veliefendi Hippodrome.
The amazing atmosphere of the event immediately turned as all in to turfmen. We surely enjoyed festival and the excitement of the races while we were working. We kept sharing the live photos and videos during the day through our social media accounts.

The first race of the day was the Fegentri Amateur Ladies World Championship. The winner of the synthetic sand track race was the pure breed Autumn Pearl and her jockey Silja Storen.
Many important personalities from the sports and TV community were there to share the passion of horse racing. The winner of the Longines Elegance Award Contest received Ayşegül Aksoy Longines Dolce Vita Collection timepiece from the successful actress Tuba Ünsal.
The most important race of the day Longines Topkapı Cup started at 17:30. The 1600m grass track race was won by the pure breed horse Blond Me. Her jockey was awarded by a Longines Master Collection timepiece. Blond Me’s owner and stableman were also awarded by Longines watches.
The event closed its doors by the final race at 18:00. Our executive editor Serdar Oal, our photographer Emre Şişman and I were all pleased to be a part of this amazing event which marked the year.
