Longines has added new Grade 5 titanium alloy models to its acclaimed young model family Spirit Collection.
The Spirit Collection, which was added to the brand's catalogs in 2020, won the hearts of watch enthusiasts as soon as it was released with its faithful design to classic pilot's watches, rich product line, and superior success in price/performance. The collection, which was the subject of our pleasant conversation in our Horofriend corner, where our esteemed collector friend Mehmetali DÖLEN wore a sample for a while and shared his experiences, is expanding with new models today.
The Spirit Collection consists of both three-handed and chronograph models. The newly added models to the collection are, however, only in the three-handed category. The case, which is available in 40 and 42mm alternatives, is produced this time from ultra-light but equally robust Grade 5 titanium. The case, which is waterproof up to 100 meters, sports a screw-in crown. The elegant case has a sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective coating on the front and a solid titanium cover on the back.
The new models host dials with a satiny surface pattern on an anthracite background. Appliqué indices and sword-style hands take their place in the new models with 1N gold plated finish. The dial, which also includes five stars and Chronometer accents, does not have a date window this time.
Caliber L888.4 movement based on ETA A31.L11 gives life to the model family. The COSC certified automatic movement offers up to 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The Longines Spirit Titanium Collection 2021 models are available with a titanium bracelet or a nylon mesh strap. The reference and price list is as follows;
