Frederique Constant, one of the boutique brands in the watchmaking industry, introduced a new collection of chronographs, Vintage Rally Healey Chronograph, inspired by the classic automobile rallies.
When cars and watches, which are among the best expressions of mankind’s mechanical enthusiasm, come together, the results are often very successful. The brands that are aware of this fact continue to introduce such models that bring these two different concepts under the same roof.
Frederique Constant, one of the leading brands in the sub-group of classic cars in particular, has succeeded in surpassing many long-established watch brands despite its young age. Acquired by the giant Far Eastern manufacturer Citizen with a surprising move in recent years, the brand is highly acclaimed with its product line which comes forward with its excellent price/performance ratio timepieces. Frederique Constant, which started to support vintage car rallies back in 2004, is the guest of our pages with their recently introduced Vintage Rally Healey Chronograph Collection.
The new collection features three different versions. The models are offered in a 42mm diameter case in stainless steel (two versions) and pink gold plated stainless steel. The case is water resistant to 50 meters and it is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. All 3x 2888 watches are numbered on the case back.
For the stainless steel version, there are two dial executions: one with British Racing Green and white sub dials and one in silver with grey sub dials. The pink gold plated version is offered with a dark blue dial accompanied with white sub-dials. The models are limited to a span of 2888 units each.
The new models are powered by the ETA-based Caliber FC-397 movement. Self-winding Bi-Compax chronograph movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph), offers a power reserve of 46 hours when fully wound and can be enjoyed through the sapphire crystal case back.
All the models in the collection come with perforated leather straps designed in accordance with the dial colors.
Stainless steel versions are available in € 2595 and pink gold version in € 2895.
