Mido, the successful representative of the Swatch Group in the entry-level segment, is under the spotlight with its new model with a skeleton dial and denim strap, added to the iconic Commander series.
Mido, which is among the brands operating under the umbrella of the Swatch Group, is a very successful name, especially in the entry-level Swiss mechanical segment. Mido, which includes many modern sports models and classic dress watches as well as the Commander model family, which has become a classic, clinches its successful line, which it has maintained since 1959, to the new models it has added to its tasteful product line.

The new model comes in a stainless steel case designed with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 10.84mm. The case, which is likely to offer a comfortable experience on the wrist with its thin bezel and relatively short lug design, consists of glossy and satin finishes. On the front of the elegant case, there is a dome-cut and faceted sapphire crystal, while on the back there is a steel cover with a sapphire crystal display. The sporty case, completed by the screw-in crown, offers resistance to 50 meters of water pressure.
The dial, which is one of the highlights of the model, impresses with its gradient effect on the blue-tinted acrylic material. The modern dial, where polished appliqué indices and diamond-cut hands display the time, promises sufficient legibility in almost any environment, thanks to its Super-LumiNOVA phosphorus-filled components. The date function, which is displayed with a disc that can be fully viewed on the transparent dial, is followed through the window at 3 o'clock.
Mido Commander Gradient comes to life with the Caliber 80 movement, as in many models in the product group. The automatic movement, based on the C07.611 platform of ETA, which continues its activities within the Swatch Group, is among the most successful price/performance movements of recent years with its 80-hour power reserve when fully wound.
Another prominent feature of the model, the strap is made of blue denim material with white stitching. The strap, which presents an image suitable not only for the color theme but also for the modern and unique presence of the model, is fastened to the wrist with a folding clasp with the Mido emblem.
Unfortunately, Swatch Group Turkey does not bring Mido (and Certina) brands to our country. For this reason, there is no other way for us to have the EUR 930 list price model, other than international channels. We hope Swatch Group will reconsider its policy regarding Mido soon in favor of us watch lovers.
