Montblanc announced the new Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Limited Edition FWC model, specially designed for the Fine Watch Club organization that gathers mechanical watch enthusiasts from all over the world under the same roof.
Fine Watch Club operates as an international multi-brand watch club that offers different programs and experiences for watch enthusiasts as well as members-only limited-production watches. Fine Watch Club adds its own interpretation to the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea model family in its latest limited edition watch project.
Launched in Watches and Wonders 2022, Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea takes its place in the market as the brand's representative in the diving watch segment. This classic, elegant diver's watch stands out with its modern dial designs inspired by glaciers. The green dial, whose texture is obtained using a traditional technique called gratte-boisé, also features the green phosphorescent number 23, which refers to the limited edition number of the model.
The new model comes in a 41mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional ceramic enamel bezel that matches the dial color. The screw-down case back is decorated with a scuba diver in glacial waters with an iceberg and the limited edition caption. Equipped with a screw-in crown, the case is waterproof up to 300 meters and complies with ISO 6425 professional diver watch norms.
The Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea comes to life with the automatic Caliber MB 24.17 based on the Sellita SW200-1. This precise, tried-and-tested caliber beats at 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers a power reserve time of up to 38 hours when fully wound.
The stylish model comes on a stainless steel bracelet that narrows from 20mm to 18mm. The comfortable bracelet, which is fixed to the wrist with a folding clasp, can be replaced with a rubber strap in seconds, thanks to the quick-change system.
