The Perpetual Calendar, which is among the most-desired complications of traditional luxury watchmaking, continues to decorate the dreams of many watch enthusiasts. This feature, which has become a kind of prestige object in the world of watches, comes to life once again with Montblanc's new model Heritage Manufacture Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 100.
The new model comes in a case measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.25mm in height. The 18K pink gold case sports sapphire crystals on both sides. An embossed Montblanc emblem winding crown accompanies the case, which is waterproof up to 50 meters.
The elegant model is home to a brown background-colored dial, which the brand calls "burnt caramel". The dial, which offers comfortable legibility with its Tri-Compax style layout, is accompanied by an Arabic numeral marker for 12 o'clock and dot markers for the rest. The day, day/night, leap year, month, date, and moon phase information can be read from the dial where the dauphine-style hour and minute hands are present.
Montblanc Heritage Manufacture Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 100 is powered by the manufacture Caliber MB 29.22. The automatic movement operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers up to 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back, impresses with its circular applied Côtes de Genève patterns and micro-sandblasted components.
Limited to only 100 pieces, the model is accompanied by a brown Sfumato alligator strap and an 18K rose gold buckle.
