A special version of Zenith's Chronomaster Revival Lupine the Third, which was a unique piece, was sold for 189,000 CHF at the Retrospective 2000-2020 auction held at La Réserve, in collaboration with Bacs & Russo, in Geneva on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
Chronomaster Revival Lupine the Third has some details inspired by the character in the anime series of the same name. To avoid any problems regarding trademark rights, the changed names and darkened details have been reinterpreted as a homage to the anime series and transferred to the watch. While the letters "Z" and "H" of the Zenith logo are darkened, the indicators are smaller and made by printing rather than direct application.
The proceeds from the sale of the watch are donated to Zoé4life, a non-profit organization registered in Switzerland. Zoé4life is known as a public service organization that aims to support cancer research, provide financial support to families in need, support children during their treatment, and raise awareness about cancer in childhood.
Chronomaster Revival Lupine the Third has a 37mm diameter stainless steel case. The Z and H letters of the Zenith text on the dial are fainter and, there is no brand logo. Automatic text is deliberately engraved on the dial. The model is equipped with a sapphire crystal and is water-resistant to 50 meters.
In the case of the watch is the in-house automatic chronograph caliber El Primero 400. The movement beats at 36000vph and offers a 50-hour power reserve as well as a date function.
The standard version of the watch offered with a ladder-type bracelet can be accessed through Zenith boutiques and authorized dealers located around the world.
