Montblanc, which had built a solid reputation with its Meisterstück Series writing instruments, keeps moving forward with its luxury watches division positively. We have mentioned about one of the best examples to this evolution Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph recently in our pages.

Just like the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph, the TimeWalker TwinFly GreyTech is powered by the in-house movement Caliber MB LL100 as well. Defined as the perfect combination of traditional watch making and cutting edge technology, MB LL100 offers an impressive 72h power reserve thanks to its double barrel winding system and a vertical clutch column wheel chronograph module proving the brand’s current level of movement design and manufacture.

I would like to point out the price vs performance ratio of TimeWalker TwinFly just like I did with the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph ; this is absolutely a perfect watch for the money.

Of course, this perfection is based on the stunningly built Caliber MB LL100 which sports features we are familiar with much more expensive timepieces. Almost all the watches around 7000 EUR range employ ETA/Valjoux 7750 and/or ETA 2894 type movements while this beautiful timepiece offers you 72h power reserve, double barrel winding system and a vertical clutch column wheel chronograph module at the same price range..! Well done Mont Blanc..

A standard MB LL100 may not be a beauty queen by the looks however, the version chosen to beat inside the TimeWalker TwinFly GreyTech is different.

The bridges are finished with Côte de Genève pattern and are black/grey coated matching perfectly with the overall industrial look of the timepiece. The oscillating rotor is mostly skeletonized is perforated with the iconic Montblanc logo.

The 43mm case of the TimeWalker TwinFly is formed with the familiar TimeWalker design sporting skeletonized lugs. This particular GreyTech version, which is limited to 888 pieces, has an industrial look with its black to silvery grey surface. The titanium case and lugs have been satinized, while the bezel and pushers are pearl-blasted to get a thicker pattern finish. The crown features the famous Montblanc logo as well as  the screws to secure the strap on the sides of the lugs.

The dial is skeletonized providing the date wheel to be seen with its grey background and black numerals. The Arabic hour numerals and stick markers are printed in black, on a grey surface. In the middle of the dial is a checkered pattern.

Let’s look at the Twin FlyBack function which gives the watch its name; the seconds and minute counter of the chronograph are centrally positioned and both hands have the fly-back function. Around the checkered part located in middle is the chronograph minute index printed in white numerals.

At the 6 o’clock position is the running seconds counter and at the 12 o’clock position is the second time zone, displayed in 24 hours.

Despite its diameter of 43 mm the TimeWalker TwinFly GreyTech wears quite comfortably thanks to its case tapering from top to bottom, which is further enhanced because of the quite short lugs. Titanium being the material of the case, also adds to this because it’s quite light when compared to stainless steel.

The TwinFly GreyTech comes on a grey alligator strap, with a skeletonized titanium clasp and is available for € 12,500 Euro (including tax). The stainless steel version on strap comes at a price of 7700 Euro, on bracelet for € 7900 Euro.
