Zenith Elite Moonphase, with its naive and minimalist design, brings true elegance to women's wrists.
The first thought that comes to mind when they say Zenith is 'passion for horology'. The history, successes, and stability of the brand are among the features that distinguish it from others. It is not after a great reputation; it does not want to break sales records and create waiting lists of thousands of names. It wants to share its passion with true watch enthusiasts and to keep its watchmaking enthusiasm alive forever with brand friends who understand it and adopt this culture. Zenith, whose name I learned when I was a little kid, ranks first among my dream brands.
The model, Zenith Elite Moonphase (Ref. 16.3200.692 / 03.C833), which we will review with you today, was introduced as part of LVMH's event in Dubai earlier this year. The new Elite collection renews the codes of mid-20th century luxury watchmaking with its sleeker, more minimalist design, and timeless lines. Each model in the Elite collection successfully blends the aesthetics and charm of bygone watches with contemporary accents.
Each model in the collection makes use of the sunbeam pattern. Time is read through tapered hour markers, faceted and polished, to enhance visual depth. While the minute and second lines give the dial a more scientific appearance, the hour markers that are one click larger distort the lines and emphasize the four main points of the dial. Sharp and thin 'Dauphine' shaped hands glide across the slate gray-toned dial, giving a nostalgic nod to the mid-20th century Zenith models.
The midnight blue circle in the lower half of the dial, in the same tone as the moon phase disc, further emphasizes the poetic image of the gold-colored moon and stars.
Zenith Elite Moonphase (Ref.16.3200.692 / 03.C833) comes in a 36mm diameter stainless steel case. Thanks to the sapphire crystal case back, the case allows us to watch that beautiful movement and is resistant to water pressure up to 50 meters. The bezel adorned with diamonds gives the model a naive look.
The in-house automatic Caliber Elite has been providing energy to Zenith's watches for over 25 years. The flawlessly performing ultra-thin movement provides a minimum 50-hour power reserve when fully wound and can host different complications.
The Elite Moonphase is complemented by a gray alligator strap and a stainless-steel buckle in the same tone as the dial.
