German watchmaker Nomos Glashütte added a brand new model to the Metro collection: Metro Rose Gold 33. Gold, whose value has never fallen throughout history, is not a material that Nomos prefers to use a lot. Nevertheless, the brand also used gold in the Metro Neomatik 39 model, which was launched in 2017. As part of the ‘Art Work’ series, the model was presented with a pink gold case, softened gray details on the dial and a brown leather strap by Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan.

Nomos, a young brand that makes a name for itself with its different and contemporary designs, introduced its first Metro model to watch lovers in 2014. The collection, which received many design awards with its round casing, wired lugs, tapered hands and knurled details on the winding crown, was presented with hand-wound and automatic movements, different case diameters and complication/non-complication versions. However, almost all of these models came with a stainless steel case.

The second gold Metro of the German brand comes in an 18K rose gold case. Only 33mm in diameter, the model is the smallest member of the Metro collection. Mark Braun, who says that the new model has feminine angles and a warm appearance, conveys that with this model, they aim to reach people who prefer different sizes in watches. The watch’s movement can be enjoyed through the sapphire crystal back cover. The new Metro continues to reflect the fineness of the details with its knurled winding crown, which is the signature of the collection. The case is also resistant to water pressure up to only 30 meters.

Nomos Glashütte Metro 33 ticks with the manufacture hand-wound movement Alpha, which provides up to 43 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

A subtly crafted dial beneath the domed sapphire crystal awaits us. The hands are made of the same material as the case, and the watch displays the time through a galvanized white silver dial. The purple minute markers are accompanied by gray hour markers at 3, 9 and 12 o’clock.
