Panerai introduced the latest iteration of its neo-classic Submersible Bronzo model family to the likes of watch enthusiasts.
Submersible Bronzo, which was added to the product brand of the cult brand in 2010, created a bomb effect in the world of watches with its matte green dial and case material that grows a patina unique to every single timepiece. The model, which was highly appreciated by not only the fellow Paneristi but also the entire watch enthusiasts’ community, became changing hands over the MSRP in a short time. In response to the success of the very first Bronzo model, Panerai continued to keep the interest warm in different versions over time.
The latest member of the model family Submersible Bronzo 47mm PAM00968, offers an image that is true to the Bronzo DNA by featuring similar details with the previous versions. However, the Bronzo concept that we saw with green and blue dial colors now attracts attention with its brown theme as well as its modern ceramic insert bezel.
The Submersible Bronzo 47mm PAM00968 comes in a 47mm diameter case made of bronze alloy. As in the past models, the signature winding crown protection piece is also made of the same alloy. The brown ceramic insert on the other hand is a first for the brand in the Bronzo series with this PAM00968 model. The case, which weighs a whopping 161 grams, is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both faces as usual and is water resistant to 300 meters / 30 bars like the previous versions.
The new model’s dial is finished in a brown tone that matches beautifully with the bronze case. Designed in line with the Submersible concept, the accents on the dial like the hands and indices are also finished in similar colors to match with the overall theme. The date display (with black date wheel) is located at 3 o’clock where the classic subsidiary small seconds counter is placed at 9 o’clock. Hands and hour markers are applied with vintage tone Super LumiNOVA phosphor material.
Officine Panerai Submersible Bronzo 47mm PAM00968 ticks with the fully manufacture Caliber P. 9010. Measuring 13 ¾ lines and 6mm thick, 31 jewels self-winding movement beats at 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a 72-hour power reserve when fully wound.
The new model comes on a hand-made brown leather strap adorned with beige stitches. The strap is secured with a Panerai signed pre-V style trapezoidal buckle of matt titanium.
