Panerai introduced its latest model, Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition PAM00982, exclusively designed and produced for professional divers in collaboration with the record holder free diver Guillaume Néry.
The Panerai Submersible Chrono shows up as the perfect combination of power, durability and high performance. The project was carried out jointly with Panerai’s brand ambassador, Guillaume Néry, a French sportsman, to create a new model for the diver’s needs, and without compromising the classic Panerai spirit. Inspired by the achievements of the sportsman including two world championships, four weightless free diving records and countless underwater photographs, Panerai also is proud to introduce a model that identifies with Néry in every aspect.
The model, which stands out with its sporty features, has all the basic functions of a professional diver’s watch. The 47mm diameter case, which is made of titanium, is water resistant to 300 meters. Uni-directional bezel made of blue ceramic allows easy tracking of the time spent under the water. The shark gray dial has a textured surface, which is a first for Officine Panerai. The blue-colored Super LumiNOVA in the indexes and hands, of course, is the standard feature of flawless legibility in all conditions. The model, which was designed by screw-in type chronograph pushers to ensure the required water resistance rating, is equipped with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal on the front side and a solid titanium case back at the rear side. The case back is decorated with an illustration demonstrating the champion sportsman’s record breaking single breath dive of 126 feet. The hands and the strap is also decorated with blue accents like its bezel. The strap is secured by the standard trapezoid buckle made of titanium.
Officine Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition PAM00982 is powered by the brand’s Caliber P.9100 which was manufactured at Panerai’s factory at Neuchâtel. 37 jewels self-winding chronograph movement beats at 28.800vph and offers a 3-day power reserve when fully wound. Besides the FlyBack chronograph feature, the movement is equipped with reset-to-zero function which allows the use to synchronize the watch with an outer time source effortlessly.
