Omega introduced 8 new versions of the legendary Speedmaster model family equipped with the new Caliber 3861 movement.
The new models added to the series feature the new generation Caliber 3861, which was first introduced in 2019 and has been used in the Apollo 11 Anniversary Limited Edition, Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition, and the "Silver Snoopy" 50th Anniversary Speedmaster models respectively.
Continuing the classic Speedmaster Moonwatch tradition in both technical and design terms, the new models are presented with a total of 8 different references.
The new models come with a 42mm diameter, asymmetric Speedmaster Professional style case. The case is available in stainless steel, 18K Sedna gold, or 18K Canopus gold (with tachymeter scale outer aluminum frame) material options. The case, which is resistant to water pressure up to 50 meters, has Hesalite front crystal and steel case back, or versions equipped with sapphire crystal on both sides, depending on the model.
Designed in the typical Speedmaster Moonwatch style, the dial comes with a cream-colored Super-LumiNOVA filled print index on a matte and grainy black background for stainless steel models. Sedna Gold versions are offered with applique index on black background with a sunray pattern, and Canopus Gold versions with applique index on a silver background with a sunray pattern. The Omega logo, which is printed on Hesalite crystals, is applied in sapphire crystal versions.
The Caliber 3861, which Omega added to the caliber family in 2019, gives life to all new models. Master Chronometer certified hand-wound movement has 26 jewels, operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph), and offers up to 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Equipped with the brand's patented Co-Axial escapement, the caliber also provides magnetic resistance up to 15000 Gauss.
The models come with leather and textile strap options, as well as a new type of metal bracelet with completely matte or matt/polished steel, Sedna Gold, or Canopus Gold alternatives. The bracelets are secured by new type folding clasps with a glossy Omega logo on a matte background.
