Oris, who has been producing diver watches since 1960, continues the story that began 50 years ago with the new Aquis Date model. The brand, which applies the right touch in each upgrade to keep the model’s soul, again made a great job.

The size of the stainless steel case is now 0.5mm larger than the previous model at 43.5mm. All the little touches that have been made have been applied to the case. The first noticeable upgrade is the re-styled case lugs and metal bracelet which are now slightly thinner than the previous version. I do not doubt that the new model will offer a comfortable use on the wrist. The other revision is about the winding crown and crown guard. The flattened crown guards have gained a more complete appearance with the case.

The updates are not only limited to design but performance as well. Before the Aquis model, there was no gap between the bezel and case of the Oris Diver Date models in the collection which makes turning the bezel often difficult. With the Aquis collection, Oris reduced this strain a little, and they seem to have completely removed this problem with the latest release. Thanks to a small gap between the case and bezel, the uni-rotating bezel can now be grasped and adjusted more easily. In the bezel, as in the previous model, ceramic is used. The case is water resistant to 300M.

The new Aquis comes with three different dial options; Black dial - gray index, blue dial - gray index and finally black dial - orange index. The hand set is also re-designed to have a more pointed form. All hands are Super Luminova applied and there is“Aquis” writing on the dial.

The movement remained unchanged. New Aquis Date is powered with the Sellita SW200 based Caliber Ref.733. Self-winding movement can be enjoyed through the transparent caseback.

The new Aquis Date is presented on a stainless steel bracelet with the standard Oris folding clasp. The model will also be available with a leather strap as well.
