Oris introduced its new dive watch developed in partnership with Roman Frischknecht, a Swiss commercial diver who spends his working life deep underwater, servicing the subsea industry. The new model attracts attention with its patented Rotation Safety System, or RSS, which can be found on every ProDiver and is designed to lock a watch’s diving bezel securely in place during a dive.
The new model is offered in a lightweight, scratch resistant black-DLC-coated Grade 2 titanium alloy case measuring 51mm in diameter. Water resistant to a whopping 1000 meters, Oris ProDiver Dive Control Chronograph’s multi-piece case features an integrated helium release valve along a set of screw-in chronograph pushers and winding crown. Uni-directional diving bezel is equipped with a ceramic insert.
Powered by the Sellita SW-500 (Valjoux 7750 clone) based Oris Cal. 774 movement with self-winding chronograph and date feature as well as a 48-hour power reserve.
Oris ProDiver Dive Control Chronograph comes on a black rubber strap that is secured by a titanium black DLC-plated folding clasp with quick-adjust extension system. Presentation box also includes a yellow rubber strap and strap changing tools.
The model is limited to 500 units only with a MSRP of CHF 4,850.
