Oris, one of the constant names of special editions and collaborations, once again attracted all the attention with the new ProPilot X Caliber 400 'Laser' announced during Dubai Watch Week.
Equipped with the brand's in-house movement, the ProPilot X Caliber 400 model family has been "colored" with a new and special model. Details about the model, which fascinates those who see it with its kaleidoscope-style dial, are as follows;
The new model takes its place in the collection as an adaptation of the modern Oris ProPilot X Caliber 400 series. The case, designed with a diameter of 39mm and a height of 12mm, is made of ultra-light titanium alloy. The dial, housed in a 100-meter water-resistant case, draws attention with both its material and color tone.
Although the titanium dial has a beautiful color transition from blue to green and purple, Oris states that there is actually no color pigment on the dial. Instead, the laser-treated titanium plate acts as a canvas for a riot of colors that alter the reflected light waves to include only light from a specific portion of the visible light spectrum. It then undergoes another process to create a "shimmering" rainbow effect.
The new model comes to life with the Caliber 400 movement, designed and produced in-house by the brand. The automatic caliber, which oscillates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph), surpasses not only the models sharing the same segment but also higher-end watches with its 120-hour power reserve when fully wound.
The new version, added to the standard (not limited edition) model family, is completed by a titanium bracelet and a unique clip inspired by airplane seat belts. The model, which is planned to reach sales points this month, brings a new breath to industry standards with its 10-year warranty period.
