Patek Philippe has added a total of 7 different versions to its sports-themed Aquanaut and Aquanaut Luce product groups. Under the spotlight from the novelties are the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph 5968G-001 and 5968G-010.
Aquanaut, which was added to the brand's product line in 1997 as the first model with a rubber strap, continues its successful rise with new versions added to the series. The collection, which also had its chronograph version for the first time in 2018, is expanding with two new models today.
The new models come in a 42.2mm x 11.9mm case made of 18K white gold. There are sapphire crystals on the front and back of the case, which can withstand water pressure up to 120 meters.
The checkered dial, a signature detail for the model family, comes in two different color options, khaki green (5968G-010) and dark blue (5968G-001). There is a date window at 3 o'clock and a chronograph sub-dial at 6 o'clock on the dial, where applique numeral indices and baton hands are used.
The new models are powered by the Caliber CH 28-520 with automatic Flyback chronograph wound by a 21K solid gold micro-rotor. The movement operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers up to 55 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The list price for the models offered for sale with a rubber strap designed in colors compatible with the dial and a folding clasp with the Patek Philippe logo is EUR 60,200.
