Piaget Polo Skeleton

Piaget continues to expand the Piaget Polo S model family, its successful member in the sports-chic luxury watch segment. Two new models added to the collection stand out with their skeleton style themes as well as their thinner cases.

Piaget made a quick introduction to the sport-chic watch concept, which has become a phenomenon in the watch world, with the Polo S in 2016. The Polo S, which was an updated version of the classic Polo model from 1979, in terms of technique and design, became one of the successful alternatives of the segment in a short time.

Today, the brand combines the Polo S concept with both the skeleton style and the expected "ultra-thin" case. The new model comes in two different versions with blue and gray color themes.

Based on the current form of the Polo S model family, the case comes with a diameter of 42mm as before. However, the total height of the new model has been revised to 6.5mm. This 30% thinned scale may not seem ultra-thin for a brand like Piaget, but we do not doubt that it will make a big difference on the wrist. The stainless-steel case, which is water-resistant up to 30 meters, features sapphire crystals on both sides.

One of the most important details for new models is, of course, the dial. The tastefully perforated dial and the similarly designed movement bring this neo-classical design into a modern form. The skeleton dial comes in two different themes as galvanic gray and blue PVD coating. On the dial accompanied by sword-style applique indices and perforated silver hands, the time is displayed by the hour/minute scale placed on the inner flange.

Piaget Polo Skeleton comes to life with the Caliber Piaget 1200S, designed and produced in-house. The automatic movement with 25-jewels and a micro-rotor consists of 189 parts in total. Measuring 31.9mm x 2.4mm, the caliber operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph) and offers 44 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement, which does not have any additional functions other than hours and minutes, can be viewed through the sapphire crystal display case back.

Both versions come with metal bracelets and color-matching alligator straps, all compatible with the brand's patented fast strap change system.
