Ressence, one of the unchanging names of exotic models, emphasizes the joint work it carries out with Type 5 AIT, the last representative of the brand philosophy, with social responsibility projects.
The famous brand, which has partnered with Art In Time Boutique in Monaco and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco, presents its new model Type 5 AIT, which is dedicated to the projects of ocean life and the preservation of the Pelagos Marine Protected Area in the waters of the Principality of Monaco.
Ressence Type 5 AIT comes with a simple but stylish case that draws attention with its pebble-like design. Convex sapphire crystals serve on both sides of the case, which is made of Grade 5 titanium alloy. The 3.57ml oil between the dial and the crystal maximizes the legibility of the dial under water. The winding and setting of the watch are done on the case back. The bezel on the front is used for diving time tracking. The sporty case is waterproof up to 100 meters.
The convex dial of Ressence Type 5 AIT, which does not deteriorate even under water thanks to the oil-filled chamber it is in, is produced from Grad5 5 titanium. The time is read by the sub-dial marked with the Ressence logo at 12 o'clock, followed by the minute hand showing the yellow outer mark. Two small sub-dials serve as the oil temperature gauge and the running indicator (90 seconds). The entire system works under the domed sapphire crystal, rotating continuously.
The new model is powered by a highly modified ETA 2824-2 movement equipped with the patented ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System). The movement is connected to the oil-filled upper container via a magnetic transmission. This drives the constantly rotating dial with indicators for the hours, minutes, clockwork (90 seconds), and oil temperature. A special compensating bellow allows the oil to expand and contract under temperature changes. The 41-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers 36 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
Ressence Type 5 AIT comes with a bright yellow premium rubber strap that matches the colorful details on the dial. It is secured to the wrist with Ressence's clasp made of Grade 5 titanium. 11 of this special series of 12 pieces are available exclusively in Monaco for EUR 35,500 through Art In Time. The final piece is scheduled to be auctioned at a charity event in September 2022, benefiting the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco to protect the Pelagos Marine Sanctuary.
