Richard Mille introduced its latest model RM 11-03 Le Mans Classic (LMC) which is exclusively designed for the upcoming 2018 Le Mans Classic.
The event will take place between 6th and 8th July with the participation of some 500 classic automobiles produced between 1923 and 1981. The organization that will take place at Circuit de la Sarthe will have a total of 6 different categories of vehicles, plus a seventh category to include GT and prototype vehicles produced between 1982 and 1993 added to the race content in 2016.
Another interesting detail about the upcoming race is that it is the famous faces prepared to get behind the wheels. Participants include 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, as well as names like the Le Mans 24h winners Henri Pescarolo, Jochen Mass and Stéphane Ortelli. Former Formula 1 pilot Felipe Massa and famous rally pilot Sébastien Loeb accompany Richard Mille who will personally attend to the event. McLaren Automotive, a brand partner of Richard Mille is also on the list of participants.
Designed exclusively for the occasion, Richard Mille RM 11-03 Le Mans Classic (LMC) is the first model to combine the RM 11-03 family with white ceramic and British racing green details. The automatic Flyback chronograph model features a large date display and month indicator as well as another first; a 24-hour chronograph sub-counter at 6 o’clock, which also tributes to the 24 hours of Le Mans.
The timepiece is slated to be officially launched over the 2018 Le Mans weekend in a limited issue of 150 pieces.
