Roger Dubuis, one of the names that bring together mechanical luxury watchmaking and motorsports, is expanding its collection, which bears the signature of its long-term business partner Lamborghini. Excalibur Spider Huracán White Ceramic Composite, newly added to the brand's product line, makes a fast entrance into the world of exotic models with its white color and marble-like look.
The model, which draws attention with its details referring to the Lamborghini Spider Huracán, considered one of the most successful super sports cars of recent years, is limited to only 88 units.
The 45mm diameter case consists of components made of white ceramic composite fiber and ultra-light titanium material. Incorporating the original design elements of the Excalibur concept, which has gained a solid place in the world of watches, the case features a 60-minute bezel and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the front. The sporty case, equipped with a titanium case back with a sapphire crystal a titanium winding crown with a white lacquered ring, is waterproof up to 50 meters.
The model’s skeleton-style dial also offers details that emphasize the concept of "super sports car meets hyper watch". The components, which are fixed to the case with white bridges, make you feel as if you are looking inside the engine bay of the sports car it tributes.
Meanwhile, Super-LumiNOVA phosphor material, which is applied not only to the dial components but also to the bezel and even the strap, offers sufficient legibility in almost any environment and guarantees to be noticed both day and night, just like in a super sports car.
The Caliber RD630, co-developed with Lamborghini, beats inside the new model. The automatic movement is powered by a rotor inspired by Huracán's characteristic rim design. The perfect precision of the movement is ensured by the unique balance wheel located at 12 o'clock and positioned at an angle of 12 degrees. The double-barrel winding system offers 60 hours of power reserve.
The model comes with a white rubber strap made of Rubber Tech material. At the end of the QRS (Quick Belt Change) compatible strap, a triple folding clasp with the RD emblem, also made of titanium, serves.
