Rolex, one of the most highly anticipated brands of the Baselworld 2017 exhibition, introduced its latest novelties.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller 50th Anniversary 126600
Baselworld 2017 exhibition, which was waited with great enthusiasm by the watch aficionados, opened their doors today. Rolex from the most notable brands of the exhibition, introduced its novelties which will surely make its fans quite happy. Undoubtedly, the most striking of those novelties is the special version of the Sea-Dweller model which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
The new version Ref. 126600, which is separated from the standard Sea-Dweller by its case measuring 43mm in diameter, resembles the Deep Sea model by its dimensions. The waterproofness of the model is 1220m / 4000ft like the standard series and the helium valve is on the side of the case.
The most striking feature of the new model, which already created a long waiting list, is the Sea-Dweller" wording written in red instead of white like the vintage versions. For a conservative brand like Rolex, we can call it a radical update.
The new model`s movement also contains a number of innovations. With the fully in-house developed and manufactured Caliber Ref. 3235, featuring an accuracy rate of ± 2 seconds per day and with a power reserve exceeding 70 hours when fully wound, mechanical perfection is obtained.
The new Sea Dweller is offered on the typical Sea-Dweller bracelet with adjustable diving extension accompanied with a 2.5x magnifying lens over the date display window (a new thing), blue color SuperLuminova phosphor material, a 5-year international warranty and other standard features.
The MSRP of the timepiece is CHF 10.800.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116515LN & 116518LN & 116519LN
Rolex plans to appeal to more users’ enjoyment by subjecting the legendary Daytona model to an update operation. The 40mm case is available in 18k white, pink or yellow gold depending on your choice.
The new models which are offered on the OysterFlex rubber strap, which was debuted with the Yachtmaster models, look sportier with the addition of Cerachrom bezels. The straps are secured by folding clasps made of the same material with the cases.
The movement (caliber 4130) and the other features (100-meter waterproof, sapphire crystal) remains the same with the new models.
The MSRP of the timepiece is CHF 27.400.
Rolex Sky-Dweller 326933
Another notable and highly complicated series of the brand, Sky-Dweller, has also been exposed to updates. This year as a first, the model is offered with a combination of stainless steel and 18K gold. The other features of the model are not changed.
The new versions are offered in a 42mm case and powered by
the Caliber Ref. 9001 which provides a power reserve of 72h when
fully wound.
Sky-Dweller Two-Tone model, which is likely to see a version of
stainless steel only for the coming years, is available with black,
champagne or white dials.
The MSRP of the steel Rolex Sky-Dweller is CHF 13.700.
Rolex Datejust 41
The stainless steel version of the new 41mm Datejust, which was introduced with the stainless steel and 18K gold combination last year, is also among Rolex’s 2017 novelties. There are both Jubilee and Oyster bracelets alternatives for the model, which are offered with an 18K white gold fluted bezel or a stainless steel smooth bezel. All versions are powered with Caliber Ref.3235 with 70h of power reserve.
Rolex Cellini Moonphase 50535
The new member of the Cellini collection, the Moonphase model, makes a great alternative to those who want to combine complications and elegance with the Rolex name.
The new model is offered with 39mm diameter 18K Everose gold case featuring a sapphire crystal on the front side. It`s water resistance value is specified as 50 meters. Rolex Cellini Moonphase 50535 is powered by the self-winding Caliber Ref. 3195 sporting a moon phase indicator and calendar.
Moonphase 50535 is offered on a tobacco color leather strap and white dial only.
