Seiko puts back the King Seiko line up, which it recently re-added to its product line, on the radar of watch enthusiasts with a new limited edition model.
Along with Grand Seiko, King Seiko, which is among the high-end product lines of the famous Japanese manufacturer, came back in 2020 with a limited production model based on the 1965 King Seiko KSK, a cult model of the product group. King Seiko, which continues its existence as a sub-group within Seiko, contrary to Grand Seiko, which moved on as a separate brand standing on its own feet in 2017, draws attention with a new model added to the collection.
King Seiko SJE095 comes with a patterned dial that takes its name from the Chrysanthemum, one of the rare flowers of Japan, as well as more refined technical features, the signature details of the product group. The perfect dial tactic that works wonders in Grand Seiko, so to speak, seems to have worked for King Seiko as well.
The new model comes in a stainless-steel case with a diameter of 38.6mm and a height of 10.7mm. The glossy components of the elegant case, dominated by the matte surface form, give the overall design a dignified and elegant look. The case, which has a box-type sapphire crystal on the front and a solid steel cover with the King Seiko emblem on the back, is waterproof up to 50 meters.
The elegant dial, which comes in an off-white background color, impresses with the successfully applied Chrysanthemum flower pattern. The dial, featuring a date window at 3 o'clock, displays the time with baton markers and triangular hands.
The new model is powered by the Caliber 6L35 movement. The automatic movement offers a power reserve of up to 45 hours when fully wound.
King Seiko SJE095 comes with a 7-piece bracelet, one of the signature details of the product group. A button-controlled folding clasp completes the stylish bracelet. In addition to the bracelet, there is also a gray leather strap.
The model, limited to only 600 units, is preparing to be exhibited at sales points as of October, with a sticker price of 3,500 EUR.
