Seiko Power Design Project 2024

Seiko Power Design Project 2024

Seven special watches, created by seven special designers, were prepared under the umbrella of Seiko to inspire the watch world.

The unconventional designs of 7 of Seiko's most talented designers, who are part of Seiko Seed in Harajuku, Tokyo, were introduced within the scope of Power Design Project 2024. These special designs once again reveal how special the place of the Japanese watch giant Seiko is in the industry. Let's say in advance that these watches will not go into mass production. The models, which are introduced with the slogan of watches that 99 percent of people do not need, are of great importance as they inspire modern watch designers.

The name of the first model is Hide-and-seek. Designer Masanori Kawamura designed a watch according to the rules of the official Hide and Seek game. It enables the 1-minute count and 10-minute catch times to be followed on the dial.

The name of the third model is Sukiyaki. It takes its name from a dish specific to Japanese cuisine. Designer Akira Yoshida has included all the instructions needed to make this healthy and delicious meal. The rest is entirely up to your skill in the kitchen.

The name of the fourth model is Panda Lovers. Designed by Kiyotaka Sakai, the model comes to be the real leader of the panda dial chronograph craze that is sweeping the watch world. Here is the only address you should look for a panda watch, not in words but in essence.

The sixth model is Sunny Men. Yu Ishihara did not hesitate to reveal his genius in creating a modern sundial, and the result was perhaps the most precise wristwatch ever. It is not easy to use this watch, but it would be a pleasure to carry such an engineering product on your wrist.

The seventh model, Ambidextrous, designed by Budur, has a very unusual and variable appearance. When you wear the watch on your right or left wrist, it appears black or white. To achieve this look, one part of the bracelet is standard and the remaining half is made of black coated stainless steel. Thanks to the special structure on the dial, you encounter two different colors depending on your perspective.
