Seiko, the giant watchmaker of the Far East, introduced the new Presage Collection, which consists of four different models. The models which are planned to be officially introduced at Baselworld 2017 are highlighted with enamel dials.

Accepted as one of the world’s largest watchmakers, Seiko celebrated the 60th anniversary of its first automatic model last year, and crowned this significant occasion with two limited production chronograph models. The two models attracted attention with the enamel dials produced with the technique of "grand feu enamel", which we are familiar with from Swiss watches, sold out pretty quickly thanks to their limited production numbers, traditional lines and relatively affordable prices.

The Presage Collection, which is planned to be among the innovations of the brand in Baselworld 2017, shines out by the enamel dials prepared with "grand feu enamel" technique. The models, which included the Roman numerals index this time, were designed to follow the brand’s glorious past. The new timepieces, which are inspired by two historical Seiko watches; the “Laurel” wristwatch from 1913 and a pocket watch dated 1895, have already entered the collectors’ radar.

The first model of the newly introduced collection, the Presage Automatic Chronograph (ref. SRQ023), shares almost the same features as the model presented last year. The model, offered in a stainless steel case with a 42mm diameter, promises to be quite comfortable with a total thickness of 14.9mm. Unlike last year’s version, the new model carries a Roman numeral dial instead of a large number index. Presage Automatic Chronograph is powered by the Caliber Ref. 8R48, an automatic chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch.

The next model in the series is available under the name Presage Multi-Hand Automatic (ref.SPB045). The 40.5mm diameter and 12.8mm thick stainless steel case houses the Caliber Ref. 6R27 which features a date display at 6 o’clock position as well as a power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock position.

The other two versions of the collection are powered with the Caliber Ref. 6R15. The Presage Automatic (ref. SPB047) comes in a round case measuring 40.5mm in diameter and made of stainless steel. The other model Presage Automatic (ref. SPB049), comes in a tonneau shaped stainless steel case measuring 35.9mm x 46mm.
