The most popular model of TAG Heuer's legendary diving watch series Aquaracer, Professional 200, is here with new features that will provide maximum performance even in the toughest conditions.
Two new Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraphs, introduced as part of LVMH Watch Week 2023, seem to make TAG Heuer fans happy and add new watch enthusiasts to the brand's customer portfolio.
Both watches come with black colored dials with a sunray pattern, with transverse lines unique to Aquaracer. These dials are semi-permeable because just below the dial is the solar panel that charges the movement's battery. The biggest feature of the watches comes from the quartz movements, which are charged by solar energy, developed in partnership with La Joux Perret, a part of the Citizen Group. The solar panels of the TH50-00 movement store the energy required for a full day when exposed to sunlight for 2 minutes, and 20 hours for 6 months of operation. In this way, TAG Heuer succeeds in increasing the battery change intervals to a negligible amount of time.
The case diameter of both models is 40mm. The first of the versions has a Grade 2 titanium case and bracelet, and the second has a DLC-coated steel case and a black rubber strap. Forged carbon is used on the bezel of the DLC-coated stainless steel model. Unlike its competitors in the industry, this material contains phosphorescent material, so in the dark, the bezel of the watch shines as well as the dial and hands. Speaking of glare, green SLN material is used on the indices and hour hands of the watches, and blue on the minute and seconds hands. The date window at 3 o'clock remains in place as an Aquaracer Professional 200 classic.
Sapphire crystal glasses are placed on the fronts of the watches and the water resistance values of the models are specified as 200 meters.
Both models are available for a list price of 3050 USD (US list).
