The new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph model, which met watch lovers as part of the LVMH Watch Week, where LVMH Group brands introduce their novelties, is getting ready to enter the radar of "panda" chronograph lovers.
Exclusively designed for the 60th anniversary of TAG Heuer's legendary chronograph Carrera, the watch revives the Carrera form, introduced in 1963, with modern details. The model comes in a stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter. Ref. 2447SN adapts to the requirements of modern times thanks to its 3mm wider diameter than the original model. The sporty case, with sapphire crystals on the front and back, offers water resistance up to 100 meters.
The letters S and N in the model's product code refer to the silver and black color theme on its dial. The black chronograph sub-dials inside the silver-colored sunray dial help to create the iconic panda color scheme. The old-tritium tone SLN applied to the dial accents underlines the retro character of the model. The glossy black chronograph seconds hand, on the other hand, takes its place as one of the unique touches on the dial.
The new model is home to the in-house Caliber Heuer 02 movement. The movement, which reveals all its beauty thanks to the sapphire crystal case back, includes the chronograph function, which stands out with its column wheel and vertical clutch architecture. The automatic caliber beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours when fully wound.
The model (Ref: CBK221H.FC8317), complemented with a black calfskin strap and a stainless steel buckle with the Heuer logo, is produced in a limited number of 600 units and is offered for sale with a list price of 6750 USD.
