TAG Heuer introduced a new collection featuring three different models to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the legendary Formula 1 pilot Ayrton Senna at the Monaco Grand Prix.
TAG Heuer announced a new collection exclusive made to tribute to the legendary F1 pilot Ayrton Senna’s first win at the famous Monaco Grand Prix in its 30th anniversary. The famous pilot is known with his spectacular talent which brought him 3 world championships, 41 victories and 65 pole positions in his short Formula 1 career.
The new collection which was also introduced at Monaco sports three different models. The flagship of the collection is designed through the brand’s highly acclaimed Heuer01 chronograph platform. The other two models are a chronograph and a three hand version both based on the brand’s Formula 1 Collection.
The Heuer01 Chronograph model is offered in a black PVD coated stainless steel case measuring 44mm in diameter. The case sports a black ceramic tachymeter bezel and a set of winding crown and chronograph pushers in black PVD coating as well. The bezel bears a TAG Heuer logo, a pattern inspired by the S shaped turns in the F1 track and Senna all engraved in red. The start/stop pusher also features a red ring. The case sports anti reflective treated sapphire crystals on both sides with TAG Heuer and Senna logos placed at the smoked sapphire display caseback. The WR rating is 100 meters.
The new model’s dial is designed in skeleton style that is dominated with black and gray. Tri-Compax chronograph lay out is preferred in 6-9-12 form and all sub-dials are adorned with red accents.
The model is powered by the brand’s in-house Caliber Ref. Heuer01. Self-winding movement beats at 4Hz and offers 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement is decorated with perforated oscillating rotor that is inspired by the steering wheel in a vintage F1 car. The column wheel of the chronograph module is also colored in red and can be seen through the sapphire display caseback.
TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer01 SENNA 2017 comes on a black PVD coated stainless steel bracelet inspired by the brand’s iconic collection Link. The bracelet is secured with a TAG Heuer signed folding clasp.
The new model is offered with a MSRP of 6200, 00 USD (US list price) and accompanied with two models both based on the brand’s Formula 1 Collection.
