TAG Heuer has added a new version to its successful model in the luxury smartwatch category, Connected. The version, which shares the same platform with the previous models technically, includes Nintendo's cult character, Super Mario.
TAG Heuer Connected collection, which has been among the most successful alternatives in the luxury smartwatch category since the day it was introduced, continues to expand. The collection, where we see different material options, various strap alternatives, and a special model for golf enthusiasts, say hello to its new version that integrates with the Super Mario character.
The new model, in a way, “gamifies” the daily activities that you can monitor through the watch. It even accompanies your activities with you. For example, when you reach 25 percent of your daily step count, Mario eats the super mushroom. At 50 percent, Mario goes down the green pipe. After contacting the "superstar" with 75 percent, he becomes invincible. And when you finally reach your goal, Mario climbs the flagpole as he has done in almost every 200 videogame games.
The new model comes with a stainless steel case measuring 45mm x 13.5mm. The case, which is waterproof up to 50 meters, is available on a black leather strap with a red rubber lining and a red rubber strap with holes on it. Both straps are secured with a folding clasp featuring Mario's M symbol.
The model, which is fully charged in 1 hour and 30 minutes, can work for a full day (20 hours with 1 hour of activity) under normal use conditions, and 6 hours (GPS, heart rate, and music) for sports use. The watch has a heart rate monitor, compass, accelerometer, and sensors for various other metrics and recorded activities.
