TAG Heuer completes the 50th anniversary of Monaco with the Monaco 2009-2019 Limited Edition.
TAG Heuer has announced the launch of five different Monaco models this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic timepiece. The final introduction of the collection, which features different Monaco versions inspired by 10-year periods, was performed through an exclusive event in Shanghai.
Monaco 2009-2019 Limited Edition reflects the stylish and minimalist design aesthetics of the last decade. Using the prominent smoky color of the space age in the case, the brand offers a simple yet contemporary look with the gray stitching black leather strap, sandblasted case, and polished chronograph pushers.
The smoke-effect case is in harmony with the silvery sub-dials, charcoal dial, and the red accents. The hands and markers in the TAG Heuer Monaco 2009-2019 Limited Edition’s dial is black gold plated to contribute to the model’s mysterious appeal. The date display at 6 o’clock features a contrasting black & white date disk.
Like the other 50th year models, this new version is also limited to 169 units only. This number refers to the year 1969 when original Monaco was introduced. Five different models produced for watch collectors reflect the trends of the related eras successfully. The Monaco 2009-2019 version, on the other hand, stands as proof of the timeless design codes’ versatility to fit with contemporary tastes.
