Greubel Forsey offers a new perspective on the second time zone and world time functions with the new GMT Sport model designed following the Art of Invention motto to watch enthusiasts while introducing a metal bracelet, which is a first for the brand.
Greubel Forsey, known for its admirable designs as well as its advanced technology solutions, welcomes 2021 with its new model limited to only 33 units.
The new model comes with a striking titanium case equipped with a variable geometry bezel. The case, which is resistant to 100 meters of water pressure, promises a bold presence on the wrist with its dimensions of 42mm x 15.70mm. The case is accompanied by the blue rubber detailed winding crown following the color theme of the model, and a pair of pushers (GMT and Earth) that control the additional functions of the model. The case features a sapphire crystal on the front and a sapphire crystal 24 city disc surrounded by two rings, a central plate with the inscription Summer Time, and a limited edition number at the back.
The model has a three-dimensional world figure that is identified with the Greubel Forsey on its dial, as well as a fixed UTC and day/night indicator, GMT indicator, power reserve indicator, and the tourbillon's rotation direction indicator. The dial and movement components finished in the blue tone used in the world figure complete the harmony of the model.
The new model includes a hand-wound movement with a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph), 63 jewels / 435 pieces, and a 72-hour power reserve. The movement features a three-dimensional/moving world figure, GMT, world time, day/night indicator, power reserve indicator, and Tourbillon that completes one rotation in 24 seconds and is placed at an angle of 25 degrees.
The new Greubel Forsey GMT Sport comes with an integrated metal bracelet, which is a first in brand history, as well as a rubber strap, which is prepared in a blue tone that dominates the model. The ultra-ergonomic bracelet, which gives the impression of being integrated with the case, is accompanied by a button clip with a fine adjustment feature.
