Art Deco, which first appeared in France - Paris in the 1920s and was accepted worldwide, influenced many disciplines from visual and decorative arts to fashion, architecture, cinema, and product design. This style reflects modern technology but is characterized by straight lines, geometric shapes, and contrasting colors. Inspired by industrialization and technical developments, the trend continues to appear in different disciplines, objects, and products by using geometric patterns on symmetrical surfaces while blending it with luxury.

Harry Winston's new model, Premier Majestic Art Deco Automatic 36mm (Ref. PRNAHM36WW033) also reflects the design and aesthetic perspective of the period it took its name from. The watch's 18mm white gold case, 36mm in diameter and 9.3mm thin, hosts 57 diamonds. Resistant to water pressure up to 30 meters, the case has a sapphire crystal compartment on the case back. Both the sapphire crystal rising above the dial and the one on the case back are anti-glare treated. The winding crown and lugs are also decorated with diamonds.

The Art Deco spirit lives on the dial of the model, combining creative components in black and white in a dynamic order. It reflects the skyscrapers that pass through the horizon of the era and its images in architecture, decoration, fashion, and luxury jewelry. White mother-of-pearl and bright black jade strips, carefully added to the dial, create an abstract background. This technique, which we know as inlaying, gives life to the geometric design resembling the sun rays. The emerald cut, which is Harry Winston's favorite stone cut, is evident in black jade, while the octagonal surfaces of the stone are left open to offer maximum sparkle and light and are surrounded by round diamonds.

Gem setting masters of Harry Winston have found different ways to use the target once again with this model. Among the diamonds are gray and white mother-of-pearl cabochons. These cabochons and diamonds in different sizes add volume and rhythm to the model.
