Tudor has added a new version to the Pelagos FXD series, developed together with the French Navy (Marine Nationale).
The first FXD model, designed based on Pelagos, the brand's modern product group in the diving watch segment, was introduced in 2021. This interesting model, named after its fixed lug pins, paid tribute to Tudor's designs for military use throughout its glorious past. In addition to its unique lug design, the blue-themed model also attracted attention with its bi-directional bezel equipped with an inverted insert.
The model, introduced yesterday, comes with a titanium case designed with a diameter of 42mm and a height of 12.75mm. On the front of the case, which features a fixed-pin lug design, there is a standard diver insert bezel, this time designed to rotate in one direction. There is a sapphire crystal on the front of the case and a solid steel cover on the back. The sporty case, accompanied by a screw-in winding crown made of titanium, is water-resistant up to 200 meters.
The dial, which is another distinguishing feature of the new model after the bezel, comes with a matte black background color. The Pelagos script draws attention with its red tone on the dial, which features applique hour markers and Snowflake-style hands, one of Tudor's signature details.
The model, powered by the COSC-certified automatic MT5602 in-house movement that stands out with its 70-hour power reserve, is accompanied by a one-piece green textile strap with a red stripe in the middle. The box set also includes a black rubber strap.
