Blast, Ulysse Nardin's first automatic movement Skeleton Tourbillon model, draws attention with its bold appearance and sharp design.
Ulysse Nardin is here with four new Blast models. The new members of the Executive Collection, White Blast (Ref. T-1723-400 / 00), Blue Blast (Ref. T-1723-400 / 03), Black Blast (Ref. T-1723-400 / BLACK) and Rose Gold Blast (Ref. Ref. T-1725-400 / 02), are inspired by the sharp lines of stealth aircraft.
White Blast and Black Blast come in titanium-ceramic, Blue Blast in titanium and, Rose Gold Blast in 18K rose gold cases. Although the 45mm case of the models is reminiscent of the Skeleton X Magma and Skeleton Tourbillon models, it offers a sharper and bolder design. The architecture of the case provides a much more aggressive stance with mosaic protrusions and sharp lines that evoke the silhouette of stealth jets. In the triangular design, each triangle has different surfaces that are polished, brushed, and sandblasted. The case is equipped with sapphire crystals on both sides and is water-resistant to 50 meters.
The Skeleton X has a large X-shape that matches the raised rectangular structure in the center. The new Blast Series takes this concept one step further by featuring two X shapes. However, it portraits a different look as the X pattern is not screwed-in to the rectangular display. These Xs are not only for decoration, but they also help to stabilize the movement.
The most striking detail after the X figures in the dial is the Tourbillon placed at 6 o'clock. The Tourbillon cage continues to maintain the design integrity with its X shape. Unlike other models in the Executive collection, the Blast does not have Roman numerals at 3 and 6 o'clock. Super-LumiNOVA filled hands and markers display the time.
The Ulysse Nardin Blast models are powered by the automatic movement Caliber UN-172, which provides 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Being the first skeletonized self-winding Tourbillon movement offered by the brand, UN-172 is enjoyable through the sapphire crystals on both sides of the case.
Models are available with a choice of structured rubber, alligator leather or velvet straps - all with patented self-deploying buckle.
