Vacheron Constantin, one of the building blocks of traditional Swiss watchmaking, was the guest of our pages with the Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date 18K Pink Gold model that was introduced at SIHH fair this year.
The model we have here belongs to the Patrimony Collection, inspired by the models produced by the brand in the 1950s. Presenting the classic dress watch design language in a modern dimension, the case is designed with a diameter of 42.50mm and a height of 9.70mm. Produced in 18K 5N rose gold, the case features sapphire crystals on both sides. Designed to withstand 30 meters / 3 bar water pressure, the case is accompanied by a pink gold winding crown with Vacheron Constantin emblem.
I would like to underline that the model has a very interesting dial. The dial that offers a unique look thanks to its Retrograde style displays provides a very eye-catching stance due to the complications and the vivid blue background. The lower half of the dial features a crescent-day indicator. The upper half of the dial hosts a date display designed with the same style, but the indicator hand is positioned in the center. The sword-shaped hour markers and hands are also made of pink gold.
The design of the dial is simply a focus of interest... When you add the Sun Ray blue background and the pink gold case with a diameter of 42.50mm, it becomes impossible to hide the watch from curious eyes.
Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date model family is powered by the manufacture Caliber 2460 R31R7/2. 27 jewels/276 parts self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 40 hours when fully wound. Hallmark of Geneva certified movement is fully enjoyable with its perforated oscillating rotor through the sapphire crystal display case back.
The model is offered on a Mississippiensis alligator strap and an 18K pink gold folding clasp designed in the form of Maltese Cross, which is also the emblem of the brand.
