Vacheron Constantin introduced a new version to the models it produces exclusively for the Chinese market. The model, which draws attention with its Imperial Green dial, also includes the Tourbillon feature.
Vacheron Constantin is a very experienced name in models exclusively designed for the Chinese market. Known for its Métiers d'Art models with the theme of the Chinese zodiac calendar, the brand prefers a more classical approach in its new model.
Based on the Traditionnelle Tourbillon platform, the model comes with a 41mm diameter and 10.4mm high case. The 18K rose gold case, which consists entirely of glossy surfaces, has scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.
The dial, which is the distinguishing feature of the model, hosts an Imperial Green background with a sunray pattern. Equipped with 18K gold appliqué indices, the Maltese Cross logo, and gold hands, the dial features a Tourbillon at 6 o'clock.
The new model beats with the in-house Caliber 2160/1. The Hallmark of Geneva certified automatic movement gets its power from its peripheral rotor. The elegant caliber, which operates at a frequency of 2.5Hz (18,000vph), offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours when fully wound.
Limited to only 30 pieces, the model comes on a hand-stitched green alligator strap and an 18K pink gold folding clasp. The new model, whose price has not yet been announced, is only available from China-based boutiques and retailers.
