Although we left the Watches & Wonders 2023 fair behind, the impact of the novelties introduced at the fair in the world of watches seems not to pass for a long time. Zenith Black Ceramic Defy Skyline & Defy Skyline Skeleton series was one of the most significant novelties at the exhibition where many brands from different segments showed up.

The Defy Skyline collection, introduced by the well-established brand in 2022, is the entry-level product group of the Defy concept, which Zenith has recently positioned as the current face of the brand. The model family, which interpreted the El Primero movement platform operating at a frequency of 5Hz (36,000vph), which is accepted as one of the symbol details of Zenith, with a three-handed display for the first time, unlike a chronograph, also hosted a total of 14 different references, including models with a case diameter of 36mm.

The brand that took place at the Watches & Wonders 2023 fair, which is known as the most important organization of the watch world, was among the shining stars of the fair with two new additions to its modern model family.

The new collection hosts two references that combine the Defy Skyline concept with a fully ceramic case and bracelet. The new product group, presented to watch lovers with two dial alternatives, standard and skeleton, brings together the details that pay homage to the roots of the brand with the trends and technologies of modern times.

The new models come in a modern Defy Skyline case designed with a diameter of 41mm and a height of 11.6mm. Made of scratch-resistant black ceramic alloy, the multi-faceted case combines matte and glossy surfaces. The case, which also houses the 12-sided bezel, one of the symbol details of the model family, is equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on the front and back. Defy Skyline, which has been a strong alternative in the integrated bracelet luxury sports watch segment since the day it was introduced, offers resistance to 100 meters of water pressure with the help of its screw-lock crown.

The models added to the collection are separated from each other by the dial details. Defy Skyline Black Ceramic comes with a sunray surface and star-patterned dial, which is considered one of the trademarks of the model family. The Defy Skyline Black Ceramic Skeleton, on the other hand, stands out with its industrial-themed perforated dial that complements the model's modern design. Other nuances where the models differ from each other are also collected on the dial. The standard dial model features a small seconds hand at 9 o'clock and a date window at 3 o'clock. The small seconds counter of the skeleton dial model is located at 6 o'clock but lacks the date display.

Another difference between the new models is under the hoods. The standard dial model comes to life with the Caliber El Primero 3620, which we remember from past versions. The 3620 SK, a skeletonized version of the same caliber, brings the perforated dial model to life. Both movements house a small seconds counter that can show 1/10-second intervals. Beating at 5Hz (36,000vph) operating frequency, the movements, which can display in an extraordinary range for a non-chronograph model, offer a power reserve time of up to 60 hours when fully wound.

The new models, which come with a bracelet made of the same material as the case, also have a black rubber strap option. The reference, feature, and price information about the models are as follows;
