Defy 21 Black & White (Ref.49.9007.9004 / 11R923) comes with a 44mm case while the Defy Classic Black & White (Ref.49.9005.670 / 11.R943) features a 41mm case. The matte micro-sandblasting finished ceramic cases of the models highlight their faceted lines by absorbing the light instead of reflecting it thanks to the smooth transitions. Both models come with a white ceramic bezel on a black ceramic case. The cases are resistant to water pressure up to 100 meters.
The black and white Defy 21 has a chronograph function that can measure 1 in 100 of a second. The power reserve indicator is at 12 o'clock, the small seconds at 9, the 30-minute counter at 3, and the 60-second counter at 6. The three-handed Defy Classic version comes with the date function located at 6 o'clock.
Both black and white models have a skeletonized dial. Rhodium-plated, faceted, and Super-LumiNOVA C1 filled markers and hands display the time.
Zenith Defy 21 is powered by the automatic El Primero 9004, providing 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Defy Classic beats with the automatic Elite 670 SK and offers 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
