The new model comes in a current Defy 21 style case designed with a diameter of 44mm and a height of 14.50mm. There are scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides of the case, which has a micro-sandblasted surface. The case is waterproof up to 100 meters.

It is accompanied by a specially designed open-worked style dial. There are chronograph sub-dials prepared in matte gray tone on the upper part of the movement with blue details. The faceted baton hands and markers ensure accurate reading of time in almost any environment thanks to the Super-LumiNOVA phosphor application.

The Zenith Defy 21 Ultrablue is powered by the Caliber El Primero 9004 movement, which was designed and manufactured in-house. The automatic movement with TIME LAB certification, which features two different escapements operating at a frequency of 5Hz (36.000vph) for timekeeping and 50Hz (360.000vph) for the chronograph, offers up to 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement, which includes components blued following the concept including the star-shaped oscillating rotor, can be enjoyed in detail thanks to the perforated dial and sapphire case back.
