Zenith, introduced a new collection in order to celebrate the Trinidad Cigar brand’s 50th anniversary. The collection consists of three different models, limited with 50 pieces each, based on the brand’s highly acclaimed Pilot Type 20 Chronograph platform.
Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Trinidad Edition Trilogy was introduced at Cuba’s 21st Habanos Festival, which is the most prestigious event dedicated to Premium Cigars and was held from February 18 to 22 2019 in Havana City.
The models included in the new collection are designed in cooperation with Zenith - Trinidad. For the models that refer to the splendid history of both brands as well as their prestige with brilliantly arranged details, Zenith’s acclaimed model platform Pilot Type 20 Chronograph was opted.
The models, which are differentiated with their case materials and details that are designed accordingly, are offered in a case measuring 45mm in diameter and 14.5mm in height available in 18K yellow, pink and white gold. 100 meters / 10 bars water resistant cases are equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on the front sides and solid case backs engraved with the Trinidad 50th Anniversary logo.
The dials of the new models come with a brown background prepared with a tobacco leaf pattern in accordance with the theme. The dial is accompanied with a Trinidad logo at 6 o’clock as well as hands and indices finished in line with each model’s case material.
All models in the collection are powered with the legendary Caliber El Primero (4039), which also celebrates its 50th birthday just like Trinidad. The 254 pieces / 35 jewels self-winding movement beats at 5Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 50 hours when fully wound.
The new models are offered with Havana Brown calfskin leather straps with Trinidad logo pattern. The straps, which feature protective rubber lining with Trinidad logo on the inner side that promises comfort and durability, are secured with Zenith signed pin buckles made in line with each model’s case material.
An identical once-off Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Trinidad Edition in platinum was handed to its new owner through an auction arranged during the Habanos Festival.
