The well established Saxon brand A. Lange & Söhne introduced its novelties at the SIHH 2018. There are seven new models including a unique model be auctioned off for a charitable purpose later this year.
TRIPLE SPLIT
The first new model from A. Lange & Söhne’s SIHH 2018 novelties is the Triple Split model which redefines the principles of timekeeping. The new model is the world’s first mechanical split-seconds chronograph in the world that allows multi-hour comparative time measurements. Additional split-seconds hands on the minute and hour counters make it possible to stop lap and reference times of events that last as long as twelve hours.
The new model comes in an 18K white gold case measuring 43.2mm in diameter and 15.6mm in height. Equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides, the case houses a gray dial accompanied with luminous hour and minute hands, seconds hand and chronograph minute-counter hand in rhodiumed gold, chronograph and power reserve hands in rhodiumed steel and all rattrapante hands in blued steel. All indices are rhodium treated gold.
The model is powered by the brand’s in-house movement Caliber L132.1. Hand-wound movement beats at 21600vph and offers a 55 hour power reserve when fully wound. SAXONIA OUTSIZE DATE
The latest newcomer in the SAXONIA watch family combines exciting design elements with technical finesse. The Lange outsize date, subsidiary seconds and black dials characterize the expressiveness of the self-winding watches in white- or pink-gold cases.
The new model is offered in two case options as 18K white or pink gold cases both measuring 38.5mm in diameter and 9.6mm in height. The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. Both versions come with black dials with accents finished in pink gold or rhodium depending on the case material.
The model is powered by the A. Lange & Söhne Caliber L086.8. Self-winding movement beats at 21600vph and offers 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Functions are; Time indicated in hours, minutes and subsidiary seconds with stop seconds; outsize date.

The SAXONIA MOON PHASE adopts a new look with a black dial in a white- or pink-gold case. A highly precise moon-phase display and the characteristic Lange outsize date accentuate the puristic design of this technically and aesthetically compelling self-winding watch.
The new model is offered in two case options as 18K white or pink gold cases both measuring 40mm in diameter and 9.8mm in height. The model comes with a blue dial crafted from solid silver and coated with a thin layer of subtly shimmering goldstone and accompanied with rhodium treated gold hands and indices.

There are also three new versions of the LITTLE LANGE 1 stand out with the interaction of exquisite colors and materials: The Guilloche gold dials in grey, brown or purple and the alligator leather straps are sublimely color-coordinated.

In honor of company founder Walter Lange who passed away in January 2017, A. Lange & Söhne presented the 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” in December. It features a stoppable jumping seconds hand and is limited to 27 pieces in yellow gold, 90 pieces in pink gold and 145 pieces in white gold. A unique model with a stainless-steel case and a black enamel dial will be auctioned off for a charitable purpose later this year.
